June 15, 2004

Dear Parents:

Welcome to 2004 Marauder Cross Country. We expect over 50 athletes on our frosh-soph and varsity squads in 2004–ranging from first time athletes to state level performers.

Paper work required:

Athletes need a completed physical. Freshmen should turn them in to the Main Office by August 1 while returning athletes should attend the athletic physicals scheduled in the SLC on Tuesday, August 10th. Returning athletes who can’t make the August 10th physical will need to pick up a form in the Main Office and have it completed by their Primary Care Physician prior to the first official practice on August 16th.

Athletes must have returned a signed syllabus which explains the goals of the program and some of the risks involved in our sport.

Athletes must have a completed medical card on file.

Those who drive or car-pool to meets will need to complete a driver’s/field trip permission form.

We need parent volunteers at Delta League meets to help with timing, handing out finish sticks, taking name tags in the finish chute, etc. If you can help, please let us know. The dates and times are listed on the Sign Off page of the athlete’s packet.

The team website (http://www.jesuittrack.org) includes a schedule, pictures, and results. There are also links to other sites that cover all aspects of cross country.
