The college boys showed up in force this year to establish bragging rights. A pack of seven runners was in contention for the first half of the race. Austin put the pedal down a tad in the last 800 to take his third alumni title. First post-collegiate finisher was Nick DeFelice.

Decade awards were given to Evan Watchempino, Scott Abbott, Mike Parrott, Dan Coyle, and Kent Wilson. Mike O'Neil received the first Alumnus Grandfather Award. Paul Verke observed that, according to the Verke Scoring System, the 80's alumni defeated the 90's group.

Alumni Michael Stember, John Wihtol, and Peter McIntosh showed up to cheer on the competitors.
